Ritzville SP12-5

Not much can be said about Ritzville, beyond that there is far more “ville” than “ritz” in this modest hamlet sitting on the eastern Washington plains. Pretty enough rural country surrounding the town, if you like the rolling hills look. Plenty of motels if you need to find a place to sleep as a stopover to someplace more important.

I didn’t really take any photos from within the small city itself. I was too busy in the evening photographing nearby Palouse Falls, and in the morning it was cloudy. I did take a few modest snaps at the edge of the city. Here is a water tower, with a cemetery in front. The flags are out for Memorial Day:
