Columbia River Gorge 2: Waterfalls

I passed through Columbia River Gorge last July. At the time, due to fires the previous Autumn, most of the trails to various waterfalls along the Gorge between Troutdale and Cascade Locks were closed. Only three were open, as far as I could tell: the trails to Multnomah Falls, Latourell Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls. I visited all three waterfalls in the manner of a few hours.

Multnomah Falls was only barely open, with access possible only via the parking lot that resides in the center of Interstate 84. Here’s some longer images to get a sense of what it’s like there now after the fires:

As can be seen, minimal damage from the fires. This area was right on the edge of the blaze, but was spared, partly due to firefighting efforts to save it. Here are some images of the fall itself, starting with the upper falls:
