Snapshots from Joshua Tree NP

Did a quick pass-through of Joshua Tree National Park earlier this week. Started at the West Entrance. Despite entering on a weekday, there was a long line of cars: a twenty minute wait to get in. Drove up Park Boulevard, which is the most scenic route through the park, then turned right on Pinto Basin Road, which I took all the way to Interstate 10. Not many Joshua Trees in this section of the park. Just a copious amount of barren scenery.
First some pics from Park Boulevard, shot around noon. These are pretty much all grab shots, taken around noon in rather harsh desert light. At least the sky was graced with clouds:
