Light Plundering Expedition: Utah & Colorado

Arches SP13-35

That large whirlwind of dust being stirred up in an eastward direction along Highway 299 heading out of Humboldt County on Tuesday, April 23 will signify my departure on an odyssey to Utah and Colorado, where I plan to plunder much of the fine light to be found in those regions, recording it on SD cards, and steal back into the fog enshrouded environs of the California northcoast. In all, hope to stop at as many as eight National Parks/Monuments, including Lassen National Park, Bryce Canyon, Zion NP, Capitol Reef NP, Arches NP, Canyonlands, Colorado National Monument, and Mesa Verde NP, with Mono Lake thrown in for good measure. Perhaps if I’m real lucky I might get chance to steal into the San Juan Mountains as well, or take a side trip to Canyon de Chelly.
