Storm on the Jetty

One of the best places on the California northcoast to see big waves roll up and explode against rocky shorelines is in the entrance to Humboldt Bay. Recently, during a brief lull in a storm, I went to the northern jetty which guards one side of the channel going into Humboldt Bay. The waves were moderately big rather than huge and menacing. However, they did make a big splash on a number of occasions. Here are some photos from that day:
