Glacier National Park & Winter Storm

Columbia Falls SP12-4
Rain greeted me as I progressed into Montana toward Glacier National Park. And it’s continued raining all afternoon and all evening, as seen in the above photo of the road to Glacier NP (from nearby Columbia Falls). Thus spake the weather report:

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDTTONIGHT FOR GLACIER NATIONAL PARK WEST OF THE CONTINENTALDIVIDE

Might east of continental divide be any better? No. Here’s the winter storm warning for east Glacier:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM MDT THISEVENING FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5000 FEET.

Conditions could improve tomorrow, with partly sunny with showers predicted. By the way, that is close to perfect for photography. It means a mixture of sun and clouds, with the clouds tending toward the dramatic. It also means the possibility of rainbows.

Took one photo, in the pouring rain, just outside the hotel, of this quaint little windmill:
