Artist's Palette

Artists Palette, accessed by the appropriately named Artists Drive, is one of the most scenic areas in Death Valley, featuring mountains of various colors generally not scene in landscape scenery. I went there twice in one day, once in the afternoon, with the harsh February sun blazing away, and once in the evening, after the sun had just set for the day. First, a glance at the images taken with the sun out:
